Safety

As a small business, we believe it is imperative to educate our customers about the safety of dummy clips, teethers, and keychains. Please note that all loose, small items pose a choking hazard to children under 3 years old. When your order arrives, you'll see relevant sticker labelling indicating this.

Things to keep in mind:

  • In the unlikely event that a dummy clip, teether, or keychain breaks, please discard all beads immediately to prevent any risk.
  • Teethers are intended solely for soothing sore gums and should never be treated as a toy.
  • Keychains are a sentimental keepsake for parents, capturing a special memory of your child. Keychains are not for your baby to chew on.
  • Clean dummy clips and teethers with a soft bristle brush or a damp cloth. Avoid boiling or sterilisers.

When is it time to replace dummy clips or teethers?

  • Every 3-6 months - Regular replacement ensures they remain clean and safe for your baby, as wear and tear can compromise their integrity over time.
  • Immediately if damaged - Inspect regularly for signs of damage such as fraying or loose parts. If any, replace the item right away to avoid potential hazards.
  • After Illness - If your baby has been unwell, consider replacing these items to prevent the spread of germs.
  • When outgrown - If your baby no longer requires a teether to soothe sore gums, please throw away to avoid risk for any older children to get a hold of them. They may potentially want to cut and pull them apart, resulting beads being loose to them selves or other younger children.

Rest assured, our dummy clips and teethers undergo rigorous lab testing and are certified for durability under AS/NZS 8124.1:2023, DIN EN12586:2007+A12011 Soother holder standard.
However, we strongly recommend supervising your baby at all times when using these products purchased from Bubs Bond or anywhere! This is to ensure your child's safety.
